My family and I have acquired an extensive amount of experience living abroad while leaving our home and it's belongings abandoned for extended periods of time--sometimes months, even over a year.
Through these experiences, we know what a home owner's needs are when they are away, and the items that folks wonder and worry about when they leave their home behind.
Some of our personal challenges were part of our roof blowing off, leaks both internal and external, people using our electricity, fire alarms going off and police coming over, excessive weed pressure in our lawn and rock scape, important mail going by the wayside or misplaced and or discarded, light bulbs going out, people utilizing our driveway, cracked windows, dust/dirt build up, vehicles not being started or cared for etc. Really too many too list!
It is truly impossible to list every item or concern, and each home owner has their personal preferences, however there is definitely a common goal…'piece of mind and security'. And these attributes can only be provided by someone who really cares about your belongings and who will treat your things as if they belonged to them.
